> gaps in the performance of NLP models when working with non-English text and non-Western cultural references. In this regard, I am excited about exploring both modelling paradigms and evaluation benchmarks to improve the adaptability of current NLP systems to non-Western connotations.
Is it the current NLP systems that need to adapt? Or do more NLP systems need to be written in the language of the text they’re analyzing? Probably both.
Thanks for taking the time to interview, looking forward to your upcoming paper about ChatGPT understanding (or not understanding) journalistic narratives of the 5W1H. \

For the last 5+ years, the #blockchain page here has quoted the Ethereum Founder Vitalik Buterin: "Whereas most technologies tend to automate workers on the periphery doing menial tasks, blockchains automate away the center. Instead of putting the taxi driver out of a job, blockchain puts Uber out of a job and lets the taxi drivers work with the customer directly." Always liked that idea, but still do take Ubers.
